Is the Juice distribution
technology likely to interfere with radio or other electrical
equipment?
No. The principle of the Juice
power and data distribution system has inherently low
radiation, and is therefore highly unlikely to affect
other equipment.
How long can the cable runs be from the power
supply system?
The J1 distribution technology allows distances of over
100m (300ft) to be achieved without significant losses,
however it can be enhanced to achieve longer distances
if required. J2 systems can achieve up to 40m (135ft).
How much power can be distributed?
Current cable designs can carry up to 5kW, though higher
powers are feasible.
What happens if the power supply fails?
Within a simple small system, a power supply failure
will shut the system down. However, due to the plug
in nature of most Juice designed
systems, the unit can be quickly replaced. Larger systems
with a number of linked power supplies can utilise redundancy,
where a defective power supply will be automatically
replaced by another unit that is standing by, ensuring
high levels of reliability.
